3 Purpose of the application (app)

The App is part of the GMS Service1 application, embedded in the language assistance system Google Speech as an add-on and used to support GMS Field Service processes by converting (spoken) audio requests into corresponding information for responses in the form of texts and speech.

4 Use of the application (app)

Personal data are only collected when you transmit them to us voluntarily, for example when registering via salesforce.com, Inc. GMS Development does not collect any personal data within the application. However, the collection of anonymized user statistics is generally possible.

4.1 Registering with your Salesforce credentials

Registration using your Salesforce account is required to be able to use some of our services. You are not required to undertake any additional registration for our service. Any and all data you enter shall be exchanged exclusively with the services you use (e.g., the identity provider you use when logging in).

4.2 Access to microphone and loudspeaker

The application requires access to the microphone and loudspeaker of your device. Access is solely for the purpose of enabling the storage of voice messages and their subsequent conversion into characters for transmission to Google Cloud Speech-to-Text, where the characters of the text response will be converted back to voice messages by Google Text-to-Speech. After completion of the process, the text and voice messages will be deleted from the app.

4.3 Transmission of voice information (Waves)

Via the Speech-to-Text API on our app we access the language assistance system Google Cloud Speech-to-Text of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Ireland Limited, based in Ireland, is certified for the EU-US data privacy framework agreement “Privacy Shield”, which guarantees compliance with the applicable EU data privacy standard.

4.4 Transmission of faulty information

The application itself does not collect or transmit any data in the event of a fault. Faults are analysed in the superordinate Service1 application.

4.5 Duration of data utilization / retention

Personal data are deleted by the user in the superordinate Service1 application.

5 Sub-contractual relations and place of data utilization

GMS Development does not use services of third parties who process data on its behalf in accordance with Article 28 EU-GDPR for the processing of personal data. However, services provided by the following companies are currently used:

As a rule, your data are stored and processed on servers in Germany or within the European Union (EU). However, depending on the selected IT infrastructure of the superordinate Service1 application, the data can also be stored and processed on servers outside the European Union or the European Economic Area.

We accept no responsibility for the protection of your data by salesforce.com, Inc. or any recipients to which you choose to transmit your data. Furthermore, we accept no responsibility for protection of your data by the language assistance systems Speech-to-Text used by us, or by the recipients to which you choose to transmit your data. 6 Data security and secure data transfer

Please be advised that gaps in security may occur when connecting devices via Bluetooth. We are therefore unable to guarantee complete protection of data against unauthorized access by third parties. We use technical and organizational measures (TOMs) to secure our IT systems (including the application) against any undesired or unintentional access, entry, disclosure, input, loss and distribution as well as destruction and modification by unauthorized persons.

Your personal data are securely transmitted over the Internet using the Transport Layer Security Standard (TLS encryption).

7 Rights of parties concerned

You may object to the use of your details at any time with future effect. Furthermore, you may request the rectification of incorrect personal information in case you are unable to rectify the information yourself. Pursuant to the statutory requirements, you are of course entitled under your right to information to find out which data pertaining to you, if any, have been stored and to what purpose.
