What to expect in this Release
Many different parties from various disciplines often work on a service order before it is finished. We have ensured that this interdisciplinary cooperation works even more smoothly by optimizing the Service Console with this Release and upgrading the Partner Portal to the next phase.
We have also made route planning significantly faster and thus even more efficient with the help of the algorithms optimized in the Service1 Winter Release.
Look forward to clever functions that make Field Service processes even more effective for all concerned.

Service Console
Simple! Fast! Effective!
Order processing on a new level
Now you can enter and process orders from start to finish in one optimized work environment with even better performance, which even allows you to take company-specific processes and procedures into account. Adapting your order processing however and whenever you want is a breeze with the new Service Console.
The Service Console has undergone a significant redevelopment in our Winter Release 2021. We have created a configurable, integrated work environment that will make processing your orders much easier.
Now order data, order items and order roles can be collated and processed faster and more easily in the Service Console – not only by engineers on the road, but also by back office staff.
This expansion means that even more of your customer and work processes are now covered, because additional configuration possibilities allow you to significantly improve the adaptability of processes to your own requirements.
Partner Portal
Perfect organization of cooperation with partners
The Partner Portal moves into the next phase with this Release. Existing functions have now been more clearly structured and expanded, and we have optimised service processes by the introduction of clever functions and intuitive handling, so you now have even more ways to optimize the organisation of your cooperation with external partners.
One of the aspects we have concentrated on this winter is returns management. We looked not only at the processes themselves, but also aspects related to handling and work ergonomics. Now it is easier to order spare parts from your partners and send back unwanted materials as returns.
And what’s in it for you? Successful cooperation with your partners will now cost you less time and administrative effort – the Partner Portal does it for you.
Disposition and planning
Permanently optimized tours for efficient resource scheduling
Your service engineers are on the road the whole day. Ideally, their tours have been planned with total efficiency, and the system automatically and dynamically updates the tour whenever unforeseen changes occur in the course of the day – so the best possible outcome always results and tour planning is constantly efficient.
This ideal scenario will become the new standard with the help of the newly implemented algorithms in Service1. Now route planning processes will be much faster and therefore more efficient.
One particularly practical aspect is that the new algorithm is also the basis for numerous additional functions: you can look forward to optimization over several days, simulations of future order scheduling, fast mass scheduling, effective team scheduling and other clever features.

What else you can expect this year
The next generation of mobile Service1 solution arrives in 2021
This year we will be able to tell you great news about our new, mobile application. We’ve completely reinvented the Service1-Mobile user interface. The new app’s modern UI is designed to help your technician move through the application even more fluidly, and work steps are captured much faster and with fewer errors. The new Mobile is tailored to the complex requirements of field service. Among other things, excellent offline performance has been established – also for large amounts of data in the shortest possible time, and the most powerful software has been used.
In addition, the basic structure of the software has been built in such a way that our Newton AI is integrated so seamlessly that a high added value is created for all parties involved and the effectiveness of the technicians is thus greatly increased. In addition, the new solution offers the possibility of complete customizability by your IT department in-house.
